The Bar Pages needed a custom website built for Nationwide that would let nationwide employees create personalized 2D barcodes. These barcodes once scanned would bring up a personalized mobile phone website. I was brought in towards the end of this project to implement a recurring billing system, give it a quick facelift, and set up the background processing of the barcode.Client

Assisted in a redesign of their website to cut out clutter and increase signups. We acheived this by making multiple points of messaging front and center and removing some barriers to a quick try out period in order to let the application sell itself. My participation was limited to front end work using the Zend stack.Client

Kajabi is a push-button marketing platform built on Rails that enables the user to launch products and manage a membership site to digital content. I came in to help them clean up the admin side of their application (mostly ajaxing functions like sorting, drag to order, and simple forms using jQuery ) and build a templating system so each Kajabi account can be branded.Client

This is the latest iteration of my personal portfolio, built on Rails 3. I continuously work on my portfolio to expand my knowledge and tool set. In this latest version of NuTheory, I have familiarized myself with a few new gems ( Haml, Sass, and Dragonfly ), and have gained fresh experience with Rack and Rails' new query structure.Client

Micro-blogging social network similar to Twitter and built using PHP. I contributed designs, XHTML and CSS for the prototype. I revisited the project a year later to contribute Twitter API integration, a help system, redesign, and created an admin system for the CEO. I also built a small marketing splash page on Rails to gather email addresses.Client

This is an experimental application I built using Rails 3 (Beta/Edge), MongoMapper, and CarrierWave. It was a Digg type application that got me to really explore the ins and outs of Mongo’s NoSQL structure. While I liked the natural “feel” of the JSON-type with Mongo, I have now decided to abandon MongoMapper in favor of Mongoid which seems better thought-out and has more community support.Client

I helped design logos and a blog for a planned ad campaign. The ad campaign was focused largely online with a blog that was meant to showcase the skaters they sponsor and the events they promote. It was a great outreach to younger consumers, and rich in content including everything from how-to videos to event blog posts.Client
